Seamless Gutters

Gutters aren’t necessarily the first thing we notice on a home, and while they may not be very eye-catching, they do serve a very important purpose – moving water away from our home and its foundation.

Today’s gutter systems come in a wide variety of shapes and materials, and as a homeowner, understanding the basics of the gutter system, along with the various options available, can be advantageous when it comes to choosing a gutter system that’s right for your home. Consulting with an experienced contractor is also your best bet when it comes to choosing a gutter system for your home’s exterior.

The components of a gutter system typically consist of the gutter, downspout, end cap, one or more elbows, and hangers or brackets. Gutters come in two main shapes, half round or K style, which are 5 or 6 inches wide. K style gutters are flat on the back and bottom and are usually more decorative, resembling that of crown molding. The half round gutters are round on the bottom and are not as ornate as the K style gutter. They are more common on older homes.
